THREAD VEINS
(TELANGIECTASIA)
Thread veins are small, broken capillaries that sit just underneath the surface of the skin and make the area appear red.
SKIN TAGS
Skin tags are usually small growth of excess skin, usually found in area of high rubbing, such as underarms, neckline, groin and can range is size from very small to large.
MILIA
Milia are small spots, hard and white in appearance that sit just under the skin. They are formed via a build up of keratin that gets rapped under the skin
CAMPBELL DE MORGAN SPOTS
Campbell de Morgan are blood spots, usually circular, that sit just beneath the skin.
SPIDER NAEVI
Spider Naevi are small broken thread veins that have a central 'body' with smaller broken capillaries coming off it, that look like a 'spider' and are often found within clusters of telangiectasia or poikiloderma
WARTS
Common warts are firm, raised growths with a rough, crusty, dry surface and often resemble a small cauliflower or a blister but can vary in shapes and sizes
PLANE WARTS
Plane (flat) warts are small, flesh coloured blemishes that are slightly raised, dry and crusty and are most often found on the face, chest, limbs or hands
VERRUCAE
Belonging to the wart family, these highly contagious lesions are mainly found on the base of the foot and can be single or in multiple clusters, known as Mosaic Verruca's
SEBORRHOEIC KERATOSIS
These lesions are raised, crusty, rough and dry and range from light brown to dark brown/black. they often appear in mid to old age and are found mostly on the head or neck but can be on limbs.
XANTHELASMA PALPEBRARUM
This raised areas of skin are yellow in colour and appear around the eyes. They are common in people with raised cholesterol levels
DERMATOSIS PAPULOSA NIGRA (DPN)
DPN is common in darker skin types and consists of numerous tiny, dark, papular, raised lesions to the face and upper body.
SEBACEOUS CYSTS
Sebaceous cysts are caused by a blockage of sebum under the skin and can be found anywhere on the body
SEBACEOUS HYPERPLASIA
These lesions are often found where our oily glands are located and look like small, white-yellow-to-pink or skin coloured bumps, sometimes with a central depression
SYRINGOMA
These are small, flesh coloured bumps, found mostly under they eye. Often mistaken for milia, these lesions are not hard, but soft.
POIKILODERMA
Poikiloderma is a combination of telangiectasia, blood spots, plane warts and pigmentation and appears on the neck, resembling a t-shirt pattern.
